What I Read in June and July 2020

What I Read in June and July

Sadly, that’s not me in the photo, reading on a lakeside dock. July is over and I have not been anywhere near water aside from the normal showering. What happened in the last two months? Well, I wasn’t able to go on my family’s vacation – no one went, it was canceled back in the spring. My city still held a 4th of July fire work show. They actually split the show into three separate ones so people wouldn’t have to gather around one location. And I got to read a few books. So here is what I read in June and July.

What I Read During the Spring of 2020

What I Read During the Spring of 2020

I haven’t written a blog post in three months! A LOT has happened in three months (since March 2020 – it is now June 2020). My husband and I started working from home full time in March when the stay-at-home orders were put in place due to COVID-19. We are still working from home and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Now, more recently, there are protests happening all over the world calling for an end to systemic racism.

I’m not going to give my thoughts on the current happenings – I will only say one thing: I hope to see positive change soon in regards to both COVD-19 and the current protests.

As for my reading life, I was in a reading slump for all of March and April. Finally, in May, there was a change and I began to enjoy reading again. Here’s what I read this spring.

What I Read in January and February 2020

As I’m writing this on March 1, 2020, I am now more than half way through tax season 2020. I’m pretty happy that it’s March already. Usually, February drags on and ends up feeling like the longest month of the year even though it is actually the shortest month, but not this year! Before I get too far behind on these posts, I thought I better write up what I read in January and February of 2020.

What I Read in November and December 2019

What I Read in November and December 2019

November was not a great reading month. It was a very busy month and I didn’t get a ton of reading time. December was busy, too but even with something going on every weekend, I somehow had a better reading month than November! So this post combines both months – what I read in November and December of 2019.

What I Read in October 2019

What I Read in October 2019

This month I read a library book, a book club book, two audiobooks, and three advanced reader copies (ARCs). I was putting off reading some older ARCs I got a while ago but I decided to just get through all of them. I really liked the books actually!
