There are various ways of making French toast. You have those that use any bread they have on hand, those that use King’s Hawaiian sweet bread, and others only use Challah bread. My mom actually uses a French baguette to make smaller French toasts which don’t even require a fork for eating them. And I have my own way.
Tuna is a great source of protein and has a low glycemic index, which is basically a measurement of the amount of carbohydrates (mainly sugar) in a food. I think the simplest way to eat tuna at home is by buying canned tuna. The problem is that it does not have the most pleasant taste.. It tastes pretty fishy. This recipe helps get rid of that fishy taste and makes the canned tuna taste good! There is one ingredient that you cannot skip – it’s the key!
My fiancé has “food days” at work where people pitch in and bring in food for his team. He has asked me to make things before but since I pretty much refuse to make unhealthy food (even dessert), I did not want to spend time figuring out how to make something better. But now since I have this blog, the more chances I have to come up with new recipes and have people, especially strangers, taste test them, the better!
So he came home one evening and asked me to make a seven layer dip. I have nevermade a seven layer dip before, but I have eaten it (once or twice). At first I was worried, “I’ve never made that before! What if it turns out horrible and people will never want his fiancé to make anything ever again?” But I was happy to figure it out. After all, I was only helping him eat healthier at work, right?
I’m not the most creative when it comes to dessert recipes, as you might notice while scrolling through the blog since most recipes are not dessert. While at home, I pretty much just stick to blending frozen fruit with Greek yogurt. But sometimes I get the urge to try something new and hope for the best.
This raspberry cheesecake dessert really worked. I think you know if something is good if, while scraping out the last drops, you wish the bowl was never-ending.
Have you ever heard of a Pierogi Fest? I had no idea there was a festival that celebrates an Eastern European food! When I found out about this festival, I thought I have to go and I don’t care that it’s 3 hours away, by Chicago. My fiancé and I made a day trip out of it and it was a lot of fun!
